I will be accepting a job in Ramapo, NY within the month (moving from PA). I'm a single guy, 28, looking for a safe place yet somewhere that's got a little bit of entertainment. Any place I want to look that has more of a younger population close to Ramapo??

Thanks!

You might like Suffern, which is in the town of Ramapo, but Nyack is generally known as the more cosmopolitan hub of Rockland County.

As for sports, you most likely will have to go to NJ or NYC for that.

I, too, would steer you toward Nyack. Not much going on in Ramapo itself. Try out Nyack or maybe Piermont and good luck!
