Could the Lime Lake area ever have been called Lime Rock? I have an obit of a relative from 1896 and it says his 2 brothers lived in Lime Rock. They all lived in this general area so I am trying to figure out swhere it might have been. Any ideas?
I also have relatives who were from Lime Rock. There isn't much to be found online, but I did find an entry in Wikipedia for Le Roy, New York which states "In the eastern part of the township is a community named Lime Rock."
Just over the border from Millerton NY is Lime Rock CT. It has a grand Prix race track theer wher Paul Newman and Tom Cruise have raced
yes! I went there with an ex-boyfriend who used to race. I knew it sounded familiar, didn't think it was in NY. Thanks
