Keene, NY Private Resort? (chapel, universities, cars)

I just got back from a week in the high peaks region of the ADKs. I kept running into people at the trail heads with stickers on their cars with a letter "C" and "A" over laid on each other. I also passed the same logo on a sign off of Rt 73 near Keene Valley with the word "Private" underneath. What is this place? Thank you.

That makes sense. My wife and I thought we saw it from a birdseye view hiking up Giant Mountain from Chapel Pond. Come to think of it, it did look much like a golf course. We must have passed nearly a dozen people with that sticker on their car. The sticker looked like some kind of parking pass, similiear to ones colleges and universities give to faculty. I thought maybe it was some kind of private retreat. Thank you.
