with one hand the governor forces a mask on you and your kids face and says get vaccinated or lose your job, there is a pandemic!

with the other hand she digs in your pocket and take money thats owed to you as she says you dont need pandemic unemployment there is no pandemic

which one is it. if the pandemic is over, pandemic unemployment should end and the mask should come off.

you cant keep masks on and scream pandemic

and then refuse to give out pandemic money as you scream there is no pandemic

Sounds like someone is mad he has to go back to work.
Plenty of people worked during the entirety of the pandemic, switching jobs as needed, using appropriate personal protective equipment to reduce their risk of contracting the virus.

Actually Jon - it isn't the typical Republican reaction - it's a Conservative reaction - which I agree with as I'm a conservative Democrat. You're too young to know what a true Democrat is. Go read up on John F Kennedy and you'll see that Democrats weren't afraid of standing up to bullies like Antifa and roll over on their backs like they do now. Democrats believed that you ask not what your country could do for you - but what you can do for your country - not like today's Dems that feel the gov't will pay for everything. Democrats believed in helping others BUT... after giving help - that person had to stand up on their own 2 feet and help themselves.

Democrats of today are more like socialists - whereas todays Republicans carry the values of the Democrats of the 60's. The pendulum does swing back eventually and when people start raising their voices which is happening now we will get back to the state of normalcy.

My DH worked throughout the pandemic. No pay raise, no extra incentive - he just went in and did his job like he normally would. I knew many on unemployment receiving all these benefits. They got heat assistance, food stamps, free healthcare and didn't even attempt to pay their rent - but they bought TVs, took vacations, shopped online for designer goods ect..

Once again - you give people a helping hand and now they expect it. That pandemic money was never OWED to you. It was an extra benefit that should have stopped months ago.

As far as people receiving more on this pandemic unemployment than working - than get a better job, work 2 jobs, learn to budget and live within your means. I'm sick of seeing people complain about not getting paid enough when actually the pay doesn't fit their habits and they won't change. Whether it be their daily Tim Hortons, shopping at Trader Joes, not cooking and picking up precooked meals at Wegmans or eating out.

Somebody going back to work in their own office will be at less COVID risk than a person working in some retail environment and other jobs where there is daily proximity to the public

Also someone commuting to work by car and who lives in a house is at lower risk than someone who lives on a higher floor in a building, takes an elevator every day and public transportation

Somebody who lives alone is at lower risk than someone who lives with roommates or a family

So as we enter the X factor with cold weather approaching and school opening it's easy for someone who might work from home or be retired and lives in the suburbs to tell somebody who works as a cashier in a city to go back to work and stop being lazy

Good post. It feels like somewhere in the early 2000's the red team and the blue team decided to trade colors.

Totally agree with that last bit. A coworker and I were discussing how unfair the mandates are, and what BS this whole thing has been, on the bus yesterday on our way to work. some people looked shocked, almost afraid that such a discussion was happening openly. My coworker is highly annoyed that he felt forced into getting vaxxed. I am highly annoyed that I am forced to leave my job to avoid the vaxx.

Bus gets crowded and we are still talking across the aisle. And a guy that was standing suddenly joins in. He was happy and said, "I cant believe people are talking about this."

People need to talk about this. Not just in organized protests but everywhere they can. One thing this event has taught me is there is no reason to be silent. No reason to be scared. All your silence gets you is what the people assuming control want you to have.

You let go of any of your freedoms they will be nearly impossible to get back someday. And, the loss of those freedoms may not seem that significant to me or you right now, but it will have an enormous effect on the generations to come, because the same people chiseling away at them now are just going to keep chiseling.

Yeah I don’t think so. None of your business anyway.

Once, or twice. FDR is still a scumbag though. The Godfather of socialism in the US.

FDR saved America. That's why he was re-elected and died in office.

LBJ is who you should hate on.
