Whether based on research, experience or observation, what are some areas/neighborhoods that you feel fit the criteria in the title? For instance, based on areas I'm familiar with and research, here are some areas that I thought would fit: Census Block Group 021103-2 in Oswego County, New York

Census Block Group 021603-3 in Oswego County, New York

Census Block Group 021604-1 in Oswego County, New York

Census Block Group 041600-2 in Cayuga County, New York

Census Block Group 041600-1 in Cayuga County, New York

Census Block Group 041800-1 in Cayuga County, New York

Census Block Group 041500-2 in Cayuga County, New York

Census Block Group 970700-2 in Cortland County, New York

All of these areas have a household median income above the state figure of $58,003. I may post more that I can think of, but any reasonable contribution is valued.

On Long Island, a town only needs ONE rough section for the entire town to get a reputation (even if the rest of the town is decent or even upmarket). So several towns here fall under this category. Freeport, Central Islip, North Amityville, Huntington Station, Bay Shore and others

That seems to be the case and I've noticed that on this forum.

In terms of the areas posted or places I think about, people may expect these Upstate location to be completely blue collar small cities/towns or rural areas with little to no solidly middle class areas. I could add the same for the bigger cities up here as well, but they have been covered in other threads. Many of these other places have hardly ever been mentioned on this forum, while posting areas/neighborhoods with a median HH income above the state median household income. So, these are areas in Upstate NY above the national median household income as well.

There are areas that are just under the state figure and above the national figure of $53,046 that would fit, but for the sake of the thread, I just went with posting areas above the state figure of $58,003.
