My husband and I are considering moving to the town of Greenwood Lake, NY. We currently live in Morris County, NJ. My husband works in Glen Rock, NJ currently. We driven through Greenwood Lake and it seems like a nice area. The commute would be about 40 minutes to Bergen county and my husband commutes off hours currently. We drove through the area and it seemed to have a nice little downtown area. Here are the questions I have and hopefully the resident can answer:
1) Are you on public water and sewer in the area of Greenwood Lake? Do the taxes include water and sewer fee's?
These are the houses we are interested in:
14 Second Rd
33 Forest Dr
50 Ten Eyck Ave
86 Murray Rd
2) How are the taxes compared to Morris and Sussex County in NJ?
2) Where is the nearest supermarket? Do they take coupons?
3) Any areas prone to flooding? Are any areas prone to crime?
4) What are the options for schools and daycares?
5) What are the laws regarding operating your own in home daycare in Greenwood Lake?
6) I would be interested in fostering infants in Greenwood Lake. Does anyone have any familiarity with fostering?
