Doctors near Clayton, NY (New York, Syracuse: live in, moving to, health)

I was telling a friend I'm thinking of moving to Clayton NY and she was pointing out for someone like me who is 63 and has a 31 year old son with health problems, thoracic spine and seizures (who may end up following me) that going to get healthcare could be a problem There are 3 hospitals within 20 miles and we are an hour from Baltimore and DC where some of the countries best hospitals are.
I live in a rural part of Maryland overlooking the Potomac river but it is just too hot now in the summer. On the other hand Clayton looks so good to me weather and surroundings wise.
Any thoughts?
