I didn't see it on their website.

Also, Oswego might be within 3 hours and has a noticeable Hispanic community.

oh? does it really? That'd be nice considering the other school have like a 2% hispanic enrollment. I'll definitely check that out! thank you

Fredonia is close to a large Hispanic community in adjacent Dunkirk, but it is well over the 3 hour range.

I went there and there were quite a few Hispanic studenrs from NYC and there are Hispanic based fraternities and sororities there too. I know that Oswego City Schools are about 5% in terms of student enrollment.

Dunkirk schools are about 30% Hispanic.

You can find scholarships through the university's financial aid department and online on sites like scholarships. com Also when the time comes for you to do your FAFSA you will see if you are eligible for any grants/gov't aid also... hope that helps

Oswego is 4 - 4:15 hours/minutes. If you are flying it can be done in less than 4, but I wouldn't recommend going too fast as cops are just waiting for kids doing this on 17 and 81.

Good point. Can you take I-81 into PA and then take I-84?

Exactly, that is option #2, which I've done a number of times....the option used when the driver wants to stop in Scranton for some Krispy Kreme .... takes about 30-40 more minutes than 17/81 ... and those extra miles can end up being a wash when you fill up in Montague NJ off the Port Jervis NY // Sussex NJ 84 exit ...

@Jazzii
Before I had a car in Oswego I used all public transportation to get home, both bus and train. Busses run via CENTRO between Oswego and Syracuse. It takes an hour and fifteen minutes to get from SUNY Oswego to get to the Regional Transportation Center in SYR due to all of the local stops (annoying, as this trip should really only take 35-40 minutes...if you have a friend who can drive you to the RTC). The bus is free Thursday-Sunday. I strongly recommend avoiding Greyhound/Trailways. The first and last time I took Greyhound, our driver ended up going down 81 all the way to Harrisburg PA on a bus en route to NYC before we had to call 911 because he wouldn't listen to us when we told him that he needed to turn around. Took 14 hours to get home that day. Under ideal conditions, it takes exactly 4 hours to get from SYR to Poughkeepsie via Amtrak and you can find rates as low as $80 round trip if you book early. I used Amtrak many times before I got a car. You can either have someone pick you up in Poughkeepsie or take a 17 minute ride down the river to Beacon and get picked up there (which I did everytime). Most times I left Oswego via Centro around 1PM, had to wait a bit at the RTC for the train, and, depending on the train's status, walked in my door at home at either 8:15 PM or 9:15 PM.

It is so much easier / nicer / cheaper when you can catch a ride home with someone who lives near you or is passing by your area on their way home.
