I am thinking about relocating and was wondering which city would be the best to live in. New York City Or Rochester?

What are you looking for? What is your price range for housing? What about your employment situation? I think that would help in terms of giving advice as for what place would be good for you.

NYC, if you earn at least six figures. Six figures goes further in Rochester, but NYC has far more opportunities and is much more exciting.

If you're looking for vibrancy and opportunity- NYC
If you're looking for laid back and affordable- Rochester

I know it sounds so obvious, but it really depends on your situation. Rochester isn't going through the best of times, but its job growth is soaring as far as north eastern standards go.

I would choose Rochester over NYC. Personally, because NYC is too busy for me! But Rochester is a mess so watch out!
