I have to say as someone who was born in Colombia, I really respect the fact that you can make the distinction that not all "hispanics" are one in the same. I am first Colombian, then South American, then American, then New Yorker, then Brooklynite. Which has little in common (except somewhat general language) with Puerto Rican, Bolivian, Honduran, Mexican, etc., and I guarantee you they would most likely say the same. It's as silly(as is this thread title) and naive as stating "White People in Catskills" or "Black People in the Catskills". All these countries have very distinct cultures, music, folklore, etc., that it boggles my mind why most people just as easy rather identify us as one kind of people?
i am puerto rican and i know that all hispanics are not the same i put the title as "Hispanics in the Catskills " because the statistics did not specify what specific countries these people were from and was hoping to find out i know very well what you are talking about i am not one of those who clump everyone into one group
