We've been apt hunting in Manhattan & have seen dozens of no fee or "OP" apartments but searching the Craigslist ads I see that most of the apts we'd be interested in around Park Slope have tenant paid broker fees. Is this typical right now? Or is there a better resource for Park Slope apts?

Thanks in advance!

There are a good amount of OP apartments throughout Brooklyn. Park Slope is a more in demand area so I can see the demand pushing less landlords to pay the fee than other areas. But there should still be a decent amount to go around

Most of the apartments nowadays are "OP". I would say the best thing for you to do is look for a broker that you feel comfortable with, and ask him for the no fee apartments. He will show you those apts with no charge and if you find something you like, then take it. But if you dont, the only other thing I suggest, is that if you are in the area and you take a look around, Parkslope apts usually have a sign out if they are leasing.
