Can anyone tell me more about which CUNYs have the best film programs? I know Brooklyn College has one, and City and Hunter?
My son wants to go to NYU film school (undergraduate) but if he doesn't get in or get much financial aid, I am wondering about other options in NYC.
Thanks for any info on these programs...
Someone also suggested St. Francis College as a small school with a film concentration and lots of aid, but no film major. Any opinions on this school...I can't find much about it on the web?
Can't say whether its directed completely towards film but Queens COllege has a reputation for producing a lot fo folks who have done well in entertainment. I studied Media there and had to take several classes involving film work. Some of the TV/Film alumni from there include Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, Fran Drescher, Adrian Brody, Jon Favreau (Iron Man director), Ben Younger (Boiler room director) to name a few. Overall the school has a good academic repuatation and is located in a nice, safe neighborhood.
Thanks for the info on Queens. I will take a look!
