Yes folks, I know this question is as general as they come and many people don't appreciate these types of questions...BUT....

if you had a choice to raise your kids in Bayside or Brooklyn (say, Marine Park) where would you choose?

I currently live in M.Park and looking to leave just b/c I can't go to any mall without hearing vulgarities. We have Kings Plaza, The Target Flatbush mall and the Gateway mall in ENY...nowhere near as nice as BayTerrace's nice local mall where everyone is nice! whew, sorry, just wanted to share my 2 cents worth. Thanks.

I'm feeling dejavu.Someone (else?) started a thread with the exact same question and almost identical comments about the nature of the customers at the local malls near Marine Park.Something about maybe moving to Rockland County too....either Bayside or Rockland or Long Island.
I think the posters name might have been RocklandorLongisland. If you search all of his/her posts (think it was a her) you will see all of the exchanges. It got nasty,I think.

I'd choose Bayside, its more suburban, nice houses, clean, safe, quieter, the schools are great (except Bayside HS but its not the only HS in the area), etc.

Bayside.

That Target plaza on Flatbush is swarmed with ghetto trash all the time.

I'd recommend Bayside. I lived there for 11 years and loved it. Lots of diversity in that area with one of the best school districts in NYC.
