What are you suggestions,I work on Staten Island and was looking at some places out in Philadelphia.I calculated the miles to the location I saw and it was 68 miles one way.I currently live in Queens and sometimes it takes me about 75 min's to get to work,I drove to Philly in 90 min's.Would this be a crazy move?

Probably.
Why would you want to spend 3 hours a day a couple of hundred bucks a week on gas, commuting ? Is your job that high paying ?
I do know some people who moved to Pennsylvania and tried to commute every day but gave up after a few years. They said it was hell.
It seems like the trend is for people to be moving back into cities to be closer to work, etc . Gas could go back up to $4.00 whenever it feels like it .
If you like Philadelphia and want to live there fine but then you should probably find work there.

I wish I didnt have to commute but the way the economy is I havnt found any jobs out in Philly.I figured i'll commute for a few years and pray I can find something out there eventually. The housing market is pretty low out there and I have lots of family near, theres just no work out there.

That drive is not impossible, but it would not be fun on a bad day on the NJTurnpike, that's for sure. Could you not find a place in New Jersey that's closer to Philadelphia, but not as far from SI? Maybe someplace in Burlington County, NJ? The prices are not that bad in nice areas there, and it's closer to Staten Island.

Would look into Cherry Hill, NJ area, esp near 295 and Tpke

NJ Tpke from CH to Edison area (nr Staten Isl exit) tends to cruise at 70+MPH at almost any hour; congestion tends to begin well N of Edison

IIRC, CH to Newark Airport is often a casual 60min drive

Routes from CH into Phila tend to flow more efficiently (at any hour) than fwys from PA suburbs of Phila into Phila; CH into Center City is a casual 30min drive, even in 8AM wkday "rush"
