I have recently moved to New York from Europe and I'd like to establish a music studio where I can continue teaching piano. Everything is almost ready and the studio looks very nice and professional, but it's time to advertise somewhere. I have a lot of experience working with children and would like to advertise in some public schools or any other schools where parents can read it as well as potential students. Being a PhD student myself I understand that schools should be the best possible place to put an ad. Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks
Jelena
I am near Union Square and I know there are few schools in the area, I just don't know how it works in US, is it ok to advertise by placing your ad in a public school?

I've never had a problem with this as long as I've spoken with the teachers in the music department about it.
2 other options
go to craigslist.org (can post in the services offered section).
Also some guitar teachers have posted flyers around the cities in business that allow those postings
