What part of Brooklyn to what part of Manhattan? It varies greatly, from 5 minutes to more than an hour and a half. Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens and Prospect Heights are all fairly nice and a quick commute.

Teacher...

Honestly, I'm self employed and will be working from home..just want something a little more reasonable in price, but also in a nice area, if possible.......

So, what would be a nice area in brooklyn to live in that is easily commutable to Manhattan? I wont be working in Manhattan so that doesnt really matter....i just absolutely love the city so I want to be able to easily get out there as much as possible without it being too much of a pain.

Thanks again

Take a look at an NYC subway map and look for brooklyn neighborhoods on the L train or the F train. Pretty quick and easy access to Manhattan.

Check out this webpage: http://www.onnyturf.com/subway/ (broken link)

It shows where all of the subway stops are on a google map.
