Outsourcing has been terrible for customer service/efficiency. Everytime I try to resolve an issue through an outsourced call center I end up being frustrated.

Returning to the office won't stop outsourcing.

If companies want to cut costs by hiring someone in India/the Philippines, they will do it.

Live in CT, where many worked in the city. They are loving life thinking that WFH is here to stay. Maybe it is, maybe not. We're still in the early days post CV emergence. Know many who moved way too far out if ever called back to the office....
Anyways if WFH sticks the natural progression is outsourcing. Now you still live in a high COL area.....

Nobody owes a business a living. When you buy your lunch you aren't doing it to be nice.
Get rid of cars!

The horse and buggy businesses are suffering because of them.

Considering Adams is still quarantined due to a problematic virus which he's clearly having a trouble with (despite being an elite fitness vegan) and yesterday's potentially fatal incident on the subway, he doesn't have any legs to stand on in fighting WFH.

Never mentioned India/ Philippines. Think Indiana, Ohio, etc.
Lower COL states where they can pay less than NYC metro. With WFH you can hire from a much greater distance.

We're also entering a recession. This will put pressure on companies to reduce costs further.

I deal with enough traffic in the city, more people at home working the better.
