In Spain they actually call it Hispanic Day, they don't call it Christopher Columbus Day
Duh, it's Spain, the country that Columbus sailed for...

This whole Indigenous Peoples' Day is nothing more but a way to ignore a day for Italians and the people that rant and rave every year about Columbus know damn well that this is a day to celebrate Italian pride.
DOE calls it - Italian Heritage / Indigenous Peoples' Day, schools closed.
Perhaps better to use broader strokes rather than individuals.
But will they rename MLK Jr who the FBI has documented participation in Rape, and womanizing?
The New York Public Library no longer recognizes Columbus Day. It is now Indigenous Peoples Day, whatever the hell that means.
It is also Hispanic Heritage Month.
You know what all these monthly dedications mean? It is just Anti White and Anti American and Anti Straight sexuality.
Notice how it is black month, then gay month, then latino month, on and on and on. Celebrating everyone except white Americans themselves.
They use Intersectionality for those “months” they dedicate to others. It is weaponized against white Americans, mostly the ones that are of Christian backgrounds and they are straight, law abiding types. Those are the ones not included.
Ahhhh that fun luvin Italian Chris Columbus. Had a good time in Haiti cutting off the noses of locals. News flash! His response? Like Cuomo…. Heyyyy I’m Itallllian”
I know that you all are speaking from a point of the "winner's privilege". I assume you believe what happened is not a tragedy but instead worth celebrating?
Also, why would you want to tie this to Italian heritage? Aren't there so many other things to celebrate regarding Italy?
Lastly, what do you think empathy looks like? Genuine question because some of the things I read here make me scratch my head. Can you put yourselves in the shoes of Indigenous people who now live on tiny plots of land because the rest of it was (largely) stolen to make America? Can you imagine if this happened to Italy and the colonizers' descendants want to celebrate it as a point of pride hundreds of years later?

You're upset and I get it. Every day in America is a celebration of being white, even more so if you are a straight white man. Now people are doing little things that change that -- even though it impacts almost nothing in the bigger picture -- so you have to protect what is "yours". You know a shift would be a world in which you are not the star and of course you don't want that.
This is it right here. The we support Degeneracy Day
