Hey everyone,

Will be in Brooklyn for a short stay. Arriving very early Saturday morning. Any recommendations for parking? I am staying at a house near the intersection of East 56th and Flatlands. I know parking anywhere in the NYC area can be a crapshoot, but it is my understanding this area is pretty residential. Is it pretty easy to find street parking in the area and if not is there an affordable garage nearby?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Just do what everybody else does in Brooklyn, circle the block once or twice, and stay cool....it shouldn't be that hard to get a spot on Flatlands itself, but the side blocks may be a little tricky because if I remember correctly there are some buildings over there, and its always harder parking by buildings. Dont remember if Flatlands is metered or not. Either way, I would be way more confident finding street parking in that area than Flatbush, Crown Heights, Bed Stuy...

You should have no issue finding on street parking there. That's a fairly quiet area with mostly 2 story private homes that have driveways.
