Hey guys be patient, here is my new (hopefully the last one) stupid question about my studio.

Along all the perimeter there are a lot of small electrical boxes (see pic).

I wonder what are them for?
Why so many boxes?

Just kidding. Those are old analog phone line jacks. My apartment has a few from back in the day and one for our intercom system.


It looks like yours is daisy chained and has been painted over a few dozen times

You will probably get cable and a triple play deal (TV, phone, and internet.) They will ignore these old jacks and install new ones connected to your modem <Time Warner> or ONT (optical network terminal) <Verizon FIOS.>

I have heard of these. Ancient devices that transmitted through wires, Some had a wheel with holes in it that was spun to make numbers. This before the cell phones used magic to send them through the air.
