I took 5 lessons (1 hour each) and then the road test and passed no problem. You HAVE to take notes and study/practice on your own and burn it into your brain. Over and over. Don't just rely on the lessons.
I used to do pre-inspection on my car when I was home between classes.
Same with me, 5 lessons should be plenty, just make sure u take notes like werdy said, and study your pre inspection every chance u get, it really helps.. U get that down and the airbrake test the air leakage test, low pressure warning signal test, spring brake test, then service brake and parking brake test and your home free.. Driving and calling out things should be second nature to u once u take ur test with all the lessons u got coming up.. Be calm and cool and u got it bro
Guys that took the CDL through a private company on a school bus, how many lessons did you take before the road test?
I had a 2 hour class today, 1st hour focused on pre-inspection, and did some driving for the 2nd hour. I feel like I need another 10 hours, I understood everything, just need time to repeat. The package I took is 5 lessons, test is in 2 1/2 weeks, should I buy another 2 classes, just to feel confident?
I know everybody is different, but I just feel like pre-inspection is easy to mess up and forget something.
Same here. Signed up for 5 lessons and passed on the first try. Try and see if you can schedule your 5th and final lesson the day of your road test so you have everything fresh in your mind.... Don't overthink it.

That's what I did. 5 lessons with the final lesson the same day as the road test just to do some parking before we got to the road test. Take notes and just keep repeating the pretrip. Missing a few things during pretrip won't deduct a lot of points. I messed up a brake test only and passed 1st try. Just do it over and over and you'll be fine.
Never thought I'd see someone transfer from SI to m8 lol
2 guys in my garage who transferred from M8 last year put in transfer to go back there and both were denied.. guess their seniority wasn't heavy enough. They both have 2 years.. they wanna go back becuz their YTD pay is 4 thousand lower this time of year than it was last year when they were in M8..

Did they factor in the significantly lighter winter & the retro? M8 is a good garage though, I don't mind going there. Nice area.
