I applied for a low/middle income lottery and when I saw the log number, I immediately forgot about it and moved on with my life We'll long story short, I got an e-mail for an interview Is that a good sign that, with such a high log number, I got a response for an interview I heard that they go in numerical order, so does that mean that 24,000+ people were disqualified or no longer needed an apt before they reached me I went on the 13th of August for my interview, and was advised it'll take 6-8 weeks for a response I haven't been successful reaching management to check the status of my file It's been 5 weeks so far, hopefully within the next 1-3 weeks I'll hear something. The wait is maddening!!!!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

They do go in numerical order, but if you are disabled or live within the same community board, sometimes that can be a factor. City employees get preference too.

Unless this lottery took place a couple of decades ago I'm pretty sure you lost the lottery. My parents were #1000 at one development - they waited 14years. I'm #500 in one development I've already waited 6years.

I agree with he poster above. How long ago did you apply for this lottery? Also, what lottery was it? For those of us who might've applied to the same one, it would be nice to know what numbers they're on.

It was a regular lottery interview for the Webster Commons A&B. It closed on or around 2/15/2015 and I literally applied the day before it closed. My log # was 24,xxx and I received an e-mail on 7/31/2015 to come in for an interview on 8/31/2015 -- I was told the process takes 6-8 weeks; it's been 5 weeks so far!

@ prettyinpink -- I can not get in contact w/ management to check the status, is it a good sign that I haven't heard anything yet? It's with Wavecrest Mngt .. Thank you for any information!!

Wavecrest is one of the worst residential companies in the city. Good luck on that one.

Wavecrest is horrible as far as returning calls but their should be a contact number/person on the letter/email that you received for your interview. I went for an interwiew on 9/4 for a different development and was told 6-8 weeks as well. Going to be a long wait lol. But im sure if you were denied for anything you would've gotten something by now.

That's honestly depressing to hear. Why would anyone wait that long?
