I see that the apartment (2839 Bainbridge Ave) where the girl was burned with oil by a relative, the apartment entrance is called "Benesonia". What does that mean?
also I notice that there is an apartment house around the corner on E 198th street called "Ursuline Court" (probably related to the academy across the street) and a "Mosholu Arms" on E 199th street
These apartment titles, the marquees all look similar in their lettering and background
is there a stylistic term for these? maybe related to art-deco or just plain art-deco?
interesting indeed. it certainly seems like they date back way back when
