If I were filling out the form for city and state taxes, how many allowances would I have if I were single and on my own?

And what is NYSDI?

And is the tax the same for all of the boroughs?

I am contemplating a move, but want to consider take home pay.

How many allowances depends on how much you're making, how much you want to pay during the year, etc. All the boroughs have the same rate of tax.

NYSDI = NY State Disability Insurance.
