Not positive but I'd say no. I think Mill Basin is more so that little peninsula that hangs off of Flatlands. If anything, maybe Mill Basin would be part of Flatlands, but don't think any of the current residents would think so.

I use to always think that flatlands was part of east Flatbush or one of the nice safe areas of east Flatbush (given it's rep).

Right.Historically,Mill Basin was in fact a section of Flatlands. It was the industrial part of town…where they built the tide mills.

Flatlands was one 0f the 5 original Dutch towns of Long Island……Brooklyn,Bushwick,New Utrecht,Flatbush and Flatlands.

If anything, its reverse. Though I doubt the residents in Mill Basin would want to be associated with Flatlands.

This isn't a Canarsie/Brownsville boarderline. Both mill basin and flatlands look exactly the same and have almost the exact same demographics. Both are very low crime areas as well.

No they don't. Flatlands is mostly Black/West Indian, Mill Basin is mostly White/Italian.
