Hello, living in Long Island and recently started work in Bayside, Queens. Office is located off Bell Boulevard and 41st Avenue. Need a good place to grab lunch on a daily basis that won't break the bank. There appears to be a ridiculous amount of restaurants all around and they can't all be good. Any info on any of them and eating experiences would be appreciated. Thank you

There is the Veranda Restaurant not too far from Bell Blvd on Northern Blvd. And there is the Atami chinese/japanese buffet on Francis Lewis Blvd in Whitestone.

just had my 60th birthday party at veranda ,it was great.

i like the greek place avli alot, last night we went to cinco de mayo on bell . bareburger is another favorite.

my all time favorite is uncle jacks steakhouse on bell. for good italian food there is papazzio.

we live in bay terrace and usually eat in the area every weekend. it is becoming the restaurant capital of queens. just about every place on the strip is very good.

awesome creative sandwiches at press 195 and la bottega

On one's average daily basis, Veranda would break the bank haha. Their food is delicious though! I'd say go with Press 195 ~ fair price, great food, good service, and right on Bell.

I used to go there to eat in Jackson Hole when I was still living in FH. Trattoria 35 looks interesting also. There is a Paris Baguette along N. Blvd. for breads and coffee.

Bourbon Street has good food and you can indulge in a cocktail if you so desire. Donovans is also good and ditto the cocktail benefit. You have pizza uno on 38th or 39th ave that's walkable, and also First Edition which is a sports bar with great appetizers and might serve lunch on 41st by the train station. If you want to drive, there's Bens, Outback, Applebees and a pretty good diner in the Bay Terrace shopping center on 26th Ave. Those are all good, but you'd have to un-park your car at midday and you might not want to do that. There are other themed restaurants in the immediate area, I honestly haven't been there in awhile but new places pop up all the time that you might be inclined to try. A short 2-3 block walk in each direction should yield plenty of options.
