I'm planning an outing to Brooklyn, and I had a few questions.
1. Is it "too much" to do both the Brooklyn Botanic Garden AND the Red Hook/Columbia Street Waterfront District area on the same day? I plan to drive in, first to the Garden, and then to the Red Hook/Waterfront District area. Directions say it would take me less than 15 minutes by car - but how easy is it to park in the Red Hook/Waterfront District areas?
2. I plan to have dinner at the Red Hook Lobster Pound. What's there to do afterwards in the Red Hook area? How easy is it to park?
3. What is the Columbia Street Waterfront District area? Good for an evening stroll? Any bars or lounges that offer good views to the water, good for a date, etc? And how easy is it to find parking on a Saturday evening? Recommendations for after-dinner activities?
4. As an alternative to Red Hook, I found a restaurant called Boat House which serves Cajun style seafood. Has anybody eaten there? Yay or nay?
