the most beatiful part of the Bronx, but unfortunately the worst if you werent born raised and never left Locust Point. beautiful, qiuet 5 block radius, cant even hear the bridge except late into the night

THE only thing wrong with the neighborhood are the people. NO one curbs or picks up after their dogs, I received an ECB fine and i dont even own a dog, but 2x now a dog has pooped on sidewalk right in front of walkway and i received the fine.

oh, and they are not single parent friendly, renter friendly and homophobic.

oh, people bred here seem to forget the houses are VERY close, why just the other day I heard my neighbor call me a lowlife

My house isnt the fanciest but it is clean- and i do the best a working full time single mother can do, ALL ON MY OWN, including three hours shoveling out my car to get to work after a blizzard and no one offers to help, they just walk by laughing as they push their snowblower right past you.

BUT on the flip side , I have made some lifelong friends here and I will cherish them. Their comaraderie and friendship has made it worth it amongst the trash that live here.

So even tho' i love my home as well as my son does, it will be time to move on soon, hopefully somewhere that welcomes newcomer neighbors.

again lovely neighborhood on the water, great birdlife, but ....

yes, it was, wasn't it LOL - it is five years of teeter totter of save or sell my 1st house i have bought??? this is my home besides just a house and my son is in a good school and he likes the house and his room. It is a heartwrenching decision i am wrestling with - there are many pros as well as cons. Im just trying to weigh them out via different venue.
