Thanks again for the response. I'm still debating what I should do, of course...gah, such an important decision! I agree about exploring other story platforms besides just standard film and TV. I've been thinking of making my TV series as a web series for a while now...not sure if I want to go down that route or not, but it does seem to offer some advantages. What are you looking into for your own stories right now?

Also, when you say that the people who made it in the business didn't take development gigs/production office work, could you elaborate on that a bit please? Creative development is actually one of the aspects of film/TV that I like the best (more than working in post, for instance), but do you think those kinds of gigs lead nowhere?

I don't know a single person who has gone from working in an office to actually getting his/her project done. Not only do do you end up not having the time, you don't meet crew who could help make your stuff.

For my own stuff, I'm doing readings and just finished a short-run blog for a national news org. Once the babe is a bit older, I'll be working on turning one of my scripts into a novel and looking into publishing w/ Amazon.

Everyone who writes a blog gets a book deal these days, right? (end sarcasm)
