I recently accepted a job in Elmhurst, Queens and am looking for an apartment now. I am in my early 20s and initially thought I would look in Astoria, but most of my friends live in Brooklyn. I found some places in Bushwick/E Williamsburg where I can take the Q58 or Q59 bus straight to work. Does anyone know about the reliability of these buses? I would like to avoid the G train.

I used to take Q58 from Seneca Ave( Ridgewood & Bushwick border)
to Elmhurst( 25-30 mins) and Flushing(45-50 mins). It's not so bad
except once a while they make Seneca Ave as their last stop, if you
need to go further to Bushwick you need to transfer to a different
bus across the street.

Rethink the G train if it is convenient to your location...it will save you LOTS of time.
