Hey all,
Few questions / random thoughs that hopefully ye can help me with.
Im moving to New York with Work in June and have picked out a couple of neighbourhoods where I'll be looking to get setup in a 1br.
Then earlier today someone asked me what i am going to do since all apartments come unfurnished - which i replied "well... im obviously going to...." - then i realised i havent a clue what im going to do

(I'm coming from overseas so will literally have a suit case with clothes.
First off do any apartments come furnished? And if so what is the best way to find them
Assuming I have to get an unfurinshed apartment - whats the best/cheapest way to go about furnishing the apartment. Wont have a car (unless people recommend renting one for moving) and wont have anyone to help me move furniture (could you "hire" people for the day to help)
Do people generally just goto Ikea? Or is there another good souce of cheap / decent furniture (not looking for anything special - just the basics to get set up with)
Basically im looking for anyones recommendations / personal stories for making an unfurnished apartment a home.
Thanks
