Are there any large organic stores that sell LOCAL produce, in Brooklyn?
I was looking around Park Slope, Prospect Park, etc., and couldn't find exactly what I needed.
So far, I've been buying non-certified organic, pasture-fed cow milk and other dairy products from Udder Milk (online), as well as organic pasture-fed meat. The prices are very good compared to most places, and they offer free delivery, but they're not always in stock.
So, are there any places in Brooklyn that sell organic, free-roaming, pasture-fed beef, chicken, etc. I'm hypothyroid, and this stuff helps a lot, while non-organic animal products tend to make me feel worse, and non-pasture fed organics don't help much, either.
If you know of any places, what are the prices? I can get the ground beef for $6/lb online, which is a lot better than most $10+ per lb supermarket chains. But, if there are large local farmer's markets that consistently have organic, pasture-fed meat, it might even be cheaper, and more convenient for bulk purchases.
