Guys, I think there is a LOT of movement going on in Penn South!!

I'm in the PS Facebook group and someone posted that there is a notice being handed out in building 7:

"Penn South Building 7: Intermittent noise/vibrations due to apartment restoration on the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 20th floors starting on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 during business hours for approximately the next 30 days."

People in the comments are chiming in:

"In 8A too"

"We received one for building 6..."

"Building 10 also"

"In building 5 too on first floor"

It is very encouraging to see the progress, but I would still estimate a two-year wait for you, Shady, as well as my daughter, who's right behind you (by maybe 10 spots) on the one-bedroom list. What do you think?

I'm basing that on the factoid that 70 PS one-bedrooms turned over in a recent one-year period, and that about 50 applicants will no longer be interested or qualify financially.

What do you think?

I think that's a very fair assessment!

Any wisdom on studios? I'm close to the 200 mark.

On the active studio list they have 46 applications before they get to the 2019 lottery.
So my wisdom is don't pack your bags just yet.

Thanks, Dreamernyc! We were getting concerned that it's been a week and Carmen hadn't gotten back to my daughter.

I keep telling myself it's 2-3 years for Penn South. (And 10+ for River Terrace.)

At least with Penn South, the list does move, and the operation seems honest, so you will get called at some point.

I know there are fewer studios than one bedrooms, but it could be the studios turn over faster, I don't know.
