By the way, last weekend I took the 2/3 to Clark Street to take a look around. It’s the first stop in Brooklyn if you’re coming from Manhattan. The neighborhood is great. As soon as I got out of the subway, I was in brownstone Brooklyn Heights. The two Cadman buildings are about half a block away. Their 70s architecture makes them stand out from their surroundings, and not in a good way.
In addition, the taller building is surrounded by scaffolding because brickwork is being done. So that makes the building even uglier. But if you need affordable housing, it ain’t a beauty contest!
I went into each building and chatted with the two doormen. They sit behind a desk and were very nice and pleasant. One doorman I noticed had a pile of packages next to him. The smaller building doesn’t have a lot of space there. The larger building has a real lobby. It was decorated for the holiday season with lights and a Christmas tree. The space looks to me like a 70s library.
What was it with architects back then? Was concrete the only building material they knew about? And even that is no excuse. The ancient Romans knew what to do with concrete, to judge from the Pantheon. That is a stunner!
Anyway, I am happy to be on the list, despite my snarky comments, and I will eagerly tag along with my daughter when she gets called. (Her number is lower than mine.)
It’s too bad the other thread was deleted/lost. Someone else on the list has a friend in the building and she invited him (or her, I can’t remember) to see the apartment. He was very impressed and thought the building was well maintained. I hope he returns and makes a new post!

Someone here had called the Cadman office a month or two ago, and I believe that person was told that the new waiting list would be started up very soon. Personally, I have never been able to figure these lists out.
The development has only the two buildings, and it's impossible for us to know how many one-bedroom units turn over in any given year. Unless someone wants to call and ask...
Has anyone heard back from Cadman confirming you're on the list? It's weird not to hear anything. On the other ML waitlists that I went on, I received a letter in return confirming my number, etc.
I feel like with MLs you just have to let go and let God lol. I keep all my documentation on my end; whatever they do on theirs I don't care as long as I have everything.
I'll call usually like once every two months just to check up too.
