Hello!

I'm from New Orleans, but moved away after Katrina. I'm in Charlotte now.
Did St. Raphael's church reopen after the hurricane? I used to go there for Sunday service; it's a beautiful church. I think it's on Elysian Fields.

Thanks for your help.

Back in 2008 there was a huge re-organization of many parishes and churches. My church (St Henry's) was included in on-going struggles with the local powers to stay open after Katrina

Check Transfiguration Catholic Church, New Orleans for specific information about St. Raphael. The New Orleans Diocese web site for more specific information.

I did speak with one of my friends who moved back home and she said that didn't think it reopened. I'll verify with the info you guys have given me. Thanks so much for your help!
