Just researching and was wondering if I could get some insight on the best hospitals to work at between these two areas.

Thanx!

Ochsner Medical Center - Main Campus on Jefferson Hwy in New Orleans is also a Magnet hospital. Ochsner has numerous hospitals and health care centers under their umbrella all over New Orleans and Baton Rouge, but Jeff Hwy is the big one with the status.

It really all depends on what kind of hospital job you're looking for. Different area hospitals rank in different specialty areas.

I'd say Ochsner is probably the best to work at, but I don't think it would be a sacrifice to work at Our Lady of the Lake or Baton Rouge General, nor most of the others in Southeast LA. Stay away from Earl K. Long in Baton Rouge, though.

Our Lady of the Lake (FMOL Health system) is good one. I've heard Baton Rouge general is great to work for as well.
