Looking for a short term lease (5-6 mo) while working in French Quarter. Young female living alone, safety and location are priority. Would like to stay under $650/mo. Any advice on apartments in Metairie? There are short term leases advertised for Turtle Creek and Park Oaks. Any advice? Thanks!

That can be found. I'm sure a lot of complexes in Metairie would be willing to do 6 month leases. But places that go month to month tend to be ghetto, I found that out the hard way in Lafayette

I'm not sure of rents but maybe look Uptown close to Tulane and Loyola Universities? That way, she can be close to other younger people. Some areas (especially cheaper apartment complexes) in Kenner and Metairie can be a bit scary and the burbs would be an incredibly boring place for someone young and single. If you can afford a bit more just to give her a better experience, I believe it would be worth it.
