I thought I start this thread because there seems to be a flood of people wanting to move to the Land Of Enchantment State. I too am GUILTY of that! I figured this would be great for us newbie’s who want to move but would also like to see what other possible movers are thinking.

Reason: Changed Q3 Colorado to New Mexico
1) Current City and State = Tempe AZ most of the time and recently Mars!
2) Why do you want to leave = I really don't but Ruidoso in the summer is very nice!
3) Where In Colorado and Why = Don't understand the question, but love Ouray "The Switzerland of America"
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = Montana and maybe the Keys. If it ever snows in Tempe and sticks Key West here I come and no I am not gay.
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = A truck!! And lots of cash and I do mean lotsssssssssssssssssss of cash
6) Anything else you want to tell us that we dont know? = I've been to Mars - no big deal. I guess I already told you that. I do like chocolate though. Yum! Mars Bars!!
1) Current City and State = Londonderry, New Hampshire
2) Why do you want to leave = High cost of living (index + 123), cold winters, crowding, very high property tax,
3) Where In New Mexico and Why = 1st choice= Socorro because of New Mexico Tech, lower prices, lower taxes, clear skies, mild dry winter.
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = New Mexico, New Mexico
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = Can’t afford to retire yet, mortgage to pay, Spousal resistance, inertia.
6) Anything else you want to tell us that we don’t know? = I expect to supplement retirement income with odd jobs, writing, painting and/or jewelry. I will get a dual purpose m’cycle and ride every day.

1) San Antonio, TX
2) Lived in ABQ for five years and moved to SA to be close to family since we are in our thirties with a little one ourselves. Now we find ourselves missing the wonderful dry weather, gorgeous sunsets, hiiking, biking, casinos, Santa Fe, etc....
3) ABQ, why...see 2
4) 2nd staying here in San Antonio, 3rd Colorado (Denver)
5) Selling our house here, then finding equal or close to equal paying jobs as we have now
6) ABQ is considered a different city much like Austin is here in Texas.
1) Current City and State = Lanesborough MA (in the Berkshires)
2) Why do you want to leave = Husband's job didn't work out, snow.
3) Where In New Mexico and Why = Las Cruces -- we both got job offers and while people complain that the city lacks things to do, it will be a step up from where we are coming from.
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = Hopefully NM does the trick, otherwise probably back to New England where we both were born and raised.
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = nothing -- we leave on Monday!

1) Atlanta, Georgia
2) Georgia Politics, Humidity, High Unemployment Rate, Stagnet Economy
3) Abq! I'm a investor/Realtor...Ohhh the opportunity!
4) Texas - Arizona
5) Nothing...arrive in 12 or 13 days...depends if I drive fast or meander
