We are a lead guitar and bass player and are in the process of buying land in the area. Would like to hear from other musicians around Gallup and Grants.
Anybody there like good ole' Honky Tonk Country?

Default Musicians Grants and Gallup

The indians in that area have some Country Bands. Long Gone Trio out of Albuquerque is a Good Country Band. el pintada kid

Most of the country bands play at fairgrounds during the weekends and some play at the Casino.

babsrocker: I'm a professional musician in the DFW area in TX and will be very interested in the results of this thread. I'm thinking that there isn't much opportunity to play outside of the Albuquerque-Santa Fe area. I'd like to find out that I'm wrong, especially in regard to the Alamogordo region.

Default Musicians in N.M.

What Styles of Music does your band play and how long have you been playing and what ages are you? Albuqueque is suppose to have a shortage of Bands and the Casinos are always looking for good Talent i would think. Im a Musician myself a One Man Band and i play all kinds of music and i thought about playing casinos. Ive been playing guitar and singing for over half a Century now since the age of 5. el pintada kid

We have a friend that lives in Thoreau. He's a decent singer and guitar player. If you're serious about hooking up with other musicians, DM me and I'll see if he's okay with me passing his email on to you. He's not in a band or anything and would be someone that would probably play coffee houses or smaller venues.
