Rio Rancho Police Officers:
Annual Salary
Non-certified Police Officers will earn $17.39 per hour for Fiscal Year 2014. Upon successful completion of the Police Academy and Field Officer Training, their salary will increase to $18.85 per hour. Certified Police Officers will earn $18.85 per hour to $25.03 per hour, based on experience and training.
Retirement Benefits
The City is a contributor to the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and pays 75% of the employee’s contribution into PERA. Police Officers can retire after 25 years of service at 90% of their annual salary (average of the three highest years).
