Hi does anyone know anything about this casino?Does it stay busy do they treat you nice i am a 21-craps dealer form las vegas,nv and am looking to get out of this rat race.
Thanks Old Bob
I'm not a gambler, but I've been to the Inn a few times to stay and/or eat. The casino seems very nice. Kind of a little slice of Vegas without the wild glitter. The casino is all in one room, fairly large. Very busy every time I've been there, winter and summer. Ruidoso is also a nice little town. Definitely worth checking out.
I found Ruidoso looks a lot like western Oregon. Very pretty, but it's also very small. Obviously very touristy.. does have a nice theater (plays) a few miles away in the mountains, a couple of hours from Las Cruces if you need to get away to a bigger city..
The Inn of the Mountain Gods is gorgeous. Golf course, casino, lake, all with a picture window view of Sierra Blanca Peak at just under 12,000ft. Great skiing in winter. Ruidoso Downs, is the nearby horse track, which hosts the richest quarter horse race in the U.S. I'm not sure if they have gambling there, as they do here at Albuquerque Downs on the State Fair grounds or not. Almost all of our NM gambling is on Indian land. Just about every pueblo in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area has a casino...big business here. Go on the web and check out the Sandia Resort & Casino (golf course, etc. too) on Albuquerque's northern-most edge. New, and just beautiful. Lots of Las Vegas personalities appearing in it's theater also. Another biggie is the Isleta Casino, just south of Albuquerque, which is similar.
Ruidoso is just a wonderful place though, especially if you want quiet, and a slower life style than Vegas, or even Albuquerque. It is where many people in the Texas Panhandle, and NM go to relax.
I hope you can check it out personally. Always the best way.
And yes, "all" the casinos are always busy! Especially close to Alb.&SF's population centers, and added tourists. (There are about 5-6 other casinos in the Alb/SF area that I didn't mention.)
x2 photo. Its a great place. We had our annual gov conference on tourism there and it was spectacular. The manager said there was great fishing there too, I need to check it out.
My wife and I stayed at The Inn of the Mountain Gods for our honeymoon.
