My wife and I attended Western Days in Timberon yesterday (July 3rd) and had a great time. The pool is now open (finally!), and it was fun to see approx. 25 kids and a few adults splashing around. The pool looks wonderful, the volunteers who helped get it going did a great job, and everyone in the pool seemed to be enjoying the heck out of it.

Happy 4th of July to all.

Bill

Hi Bill, yes it was great to see it in use again after all the refurbishing, resurfacing and repairing. It looks heavenly, all blue and sparkly among the pinon and pondeBullBoxer31. I hear it will be open in the mornings to adults for lap swimming too. Nice!
(good to see you guys yesterday )

Nan

Hi Bill and Nan,

It's finally open and it will be open to adults only for about an hour of lap swimming. Larry also said there would be water aerobics but sounds like it's mostly for people not very active.

I don't know what the temp is now but I'm sure they have it worked out. Last week, the temp was 72 and they were working on getting it warmed up some more before it opened.

Thanks for the info. 72 degrees (F!) is a bit nippy, but not unbearably so.

Catman,

I know the pool is heated, but I'm not sure how much. We didn't go there to swim, only to check out how everything looked. The people I saw in the pool seemed to enjoy it, though, so I'm guessing the temperature was fairly comfortable, at least when the sun is shining.

Thanks. I hope I get to see it this autumn, along with the rest of Timberon!

80 sounds perfect! Wish I were there rather than here, with the 90s-100s and the humidity.
