On the PATH website,
Parking Facilities
Due to construction, there is limited available parking around Harrison Station. Customers are asked to consider parking solutions around Newark Penn Station and Journal Square Station, as well as the parking facility at the Journal Square Transportation Center.

How badly is the construction affecting the parking at Harrison and is it difficult to find parking at Journal square path station? How much would that cost?

Thank you guys, I decided to look for housing in Harrison instead of Newport, it is way too expensive there..

Over the Next year the Harrison Station and surrounding area will be a mess , but the Parking Garages will be completed soon and one is open. Newark Penn & Journal SQ have little to no parking for non residents. Military Park in Newark might have daily parking , but other then that nothing. Journal SQ like Harrison is about to get ripped up for a few new Mega Projects. Jersey City , Harrison , Newark are slowly become non car friendly so its best to ride a bike or walk there.

Thank you Nexis4Jersey, by residents do u mean I need to have the parking permit of the district to street park? I guess I can have the parking permit of Harrison once I started living there? riding a bike sounds like a good option too but I don't know how many guys are actually riding bikes to work, where to park the bike, I am just wondering?

I park up the street from Harrison station on Essex street. It's a 3 block walk and a heck of a lot cheaper than using the garage.

I just signed up monthly parking in Newark. I park right across Prudential Center which is very close to Newark Penn Station. The monthly fee is 100.

Eh. Sadly I found out it's 2 hour parking only. Literally got me a $30 ticket one of my last days there parked on Sussex without a residential permit. At least they didn't tow. There are meters on Essex but there may be a limit of a certain hours. I honestly don't know.

Default Journal Square Parking

FWIW, There definitely IS parking at JSTC. And it IS open to non-residents. Below is the daily pricing. I believe there is also monthly parking at $165 per.
