I just don't understand this town. I've never seen a town change so much street by street. You could be on a poor street with crime and make a turn and be amongst million dollar homes. One condo building, with the cheapest going for $300K, has one side on Speedwell, a less desirable area of Morristown, with the other on a street that's not-so bad but still ridiculously close to Speedwell.
And 40 Park, the luxury condo complex facing the Green, has the highest priced piece of real estate on Morristown's market - $2,175,000. What's next to this building? A homeless missionary.
Or how about rentals starting at $1800 just built near the train station and in "less safe" area not too far from MLK Blvd etc.
Or how about living in a million dollar home and sending your kid to a high school with metal detectors and a gang problem?
Interesting. We stayed in a hotel on Park when we first moved here (last week). I have no understanding of what is a good area or not in this city It's been frustrating for us.
There are gangs of lawyers and judges and prosecutors in that town that are always looking for customers with money too.
