Hello,
We've been looking at houses in Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Fair Haven, Little Silver, and Middletown. Now that we've had to lower our house price so much our house budget for a new house is $400-$450 which is making it more difficult to find things in the first 4 areas.
We've found one we like off of Tindall Rd in Middletown just north of 35. (IS THIS NEW MONMOUTH SECTION???) The elementary is New Monmouth and it High school North.
I know South is more desirable but is this area nice? The neighborhood looked nice. We have two very young children and are wondering about the area and especially the elementary school. Is the school crowded?, very old/new, old/vs. new teaching techniques?
I get the feeling this isn't the best nor worst area of Middletown. I'd appreciate any feedback regarding the location. Good/Bad/whatever!
Thanks!

Reason: ADDED INFO
Yes, that's the New Monmouth area. I am not familiar with Tindall. I usually go up New Monmouth Rd or Laurel Ave when I want to go from 35 and 36. However, I am sure Tindall is a nice area. You will be close to several shopping area. The library (it's a nice big one too) is down the street from the elementary school.
How far from Rt 35 is it? Can you hear any traffic noise?
A few blocks maybe? We didn't hear traffic. By shopping, would that just be on 35? We were interested in a "downtown" but I guess Middletown doesn't offer that. Wish it was closer to Red Bank.
Middletown is all strip malls. Maybe prices will drop during the winter in the towns you really want.
I recently drove down Middle Rd and thought that area was a nice cozy place especially near the pond. But it's further from Red Bank.
How much are the homes on the Red Bank/Fair Haven border? Any wiggle room?
