The town is safe, and it's very convenient to NYC. There are some great little stores and restaurants on and off Anderson Avenue. The schools, unfortunately, are not good. I lived in Cliffside Park when my husband and I were first married, and we loved it. I would recommend the town if schools aren't an issue.

Actually the schools are not bad. The teachers are good. The problem is that Cliffside Park has many foreign students and english is a second language to them. Therefore the test results are below average. If you have a student who has the capability and a willingness to learn that student will excell.
