Does the fact that I attended an open house without my realtor imply that I have to be represented by the listing agent? I did spend some time talking with this agent, so am I automatically "his"? I don't particularly want this person representing me (as I do not know him at all), but I'm not sure if it's legit for me to work with another agent now. (Edited to add that I did ask him to contact me this week to discuss the property further ...)

If you have a realtor it is bad form to 'connect' with another realtor to purchase a house. You have no obligation to your realtor, but he/she is working with you to find a house. You should let the realtor from the Open House know you are working already with a realtor.

Whenever we attend Open Houses without our realtor, that is the first thing we tell the agent when looking.

not sure if you did or didnt, but when you attended the open house, you shouldve told the listing agent or selling agent that you were working with a realtor.
just because he gave you information doesnt mean that you are commited to work with that realtor. really its your choice. you dont have a contract with either realtor or any kind of binding agreement.
