Hello!
I am looking to move from Queens to buy a property in NJ. I found Woodbridge, an area by the Woodbridge NJ Transit train station? Good area? I am commuting into NYC for work and need something with a decent travel time. I also don't drive.
Thanks for your input.

Generally yes. I don't live there but just drove through that area today and often in summer weeks they have free concerts all summer in the park nearby. Never had any problems nor expected any.

I think that area is fine and would be a good choice for commuting.

On week days, train runs straight into Penn NYC every 25 minutes express and local from 6:46 am to 8:46 am. When train breaks down or when Amtrak screws up on the tunnel, you can take Bus 116 into NYC. The bus stop is right across Woodbridge Train Station on Greet St. When Buses and the North Jersey Coast line make it into the city, you have the option to hop on the North East Corridor train line which is also in Woodbridge and located in the MetroPark section of the township. This township, in my opinion is the best option in terms of commuting options into NYC.
