Taxation is theft?

How do you propose paying for what's provided by the govt. (a system set up for the preservation of order and the good of all?).

Do you want to pay a fee every time you pull out of your driveway? To drive on the "public street" or would you like it all privatized.

What if your next door neighbor decides his property can be a toxic waste dump?? After all it's a free market. Since you don't want to pay any tax, there's no one to enforce any regulations? There are no regulations, just might makes right, since your neighbor is younger, stronger, and has a large family for enforcement he can do what he wants. In fact he wants to just take over your property.

Not that I'm a big fan of taxes, but how would you propose paying for roads, bridges, water systems, police protection, schools, etc. if not through a tax? Let alone armed forces, etc.

If you're not happy with a tax, get involved in politics, get elected to office and change it.

Free market, it's summer, it's hot, the electric company triples your rate, hey, it's a free market, no govt. regulations. Utilities can be the new robber barons?

that isnt really important. did you sign the declaration of independence or constitution? did you agree to the laws that are passed to regulate your behavior? i sure didnt. the us government has no right to my money or to regulate my actions. it does so at the threat of death, prison or ruin if I do not comply. that doesnt make it legitimate. all these opinions by everyone on what should or shouldnt be done with other people's money are silly because you shouldnt have any say in what happens with my money or with my actions.

You know, if you don't like this country so much, a: get involved in politics and change it to something you prefer. B: Leave

why do you think that those are the only two options? i actually dont have to do anything but try to maximize my quality of life. i have no interest in getting involved in politics and i have no plans to leave.

its funny that people get this special important feeling when they believe that their say is important in other people's projects that have no impact on them. i just want government out of the meadowlands and let someone else do something with it. then, whether it works out or doesnt work out; it doesnt really matter because they didnt use money that was stolen from other people.

I'm sorry if I disappoint you because I feel places like the meadowlands and the rest of our ecosystems should not be destroyed. You say you want government out of the meadowlands, my complaint was money was spent to replace a perfectly good stadium with another one, and I wanted to know how many of my tax dollars went towards it.

I personally think "American Dream" or whatever they want to call it this time around, is an eyesore and sounds like a boondoggle and it seems the only ones getting rich on it are the bond traders. It seems that every couple of years there's a "new" bond offering because the developers have gone bankrupt, or run short of cash. This has been going on since sometime around 2003-2004. What's next, they'll declare it "obsolete" around the 2025 when it's 20yr old? Then the replacement will provide more jobs?

Do you take advantage of the things provided by this country? Of course you do, you're posting on an internet forum! Which was developed with research commissioned by the US govt to build robust fault-tolerant communication via computer networks. But is that ok, or did the "guvment" steal the money out of your pocket?

Or are you a member of the Sovereign Citizen Movement?

Which seems hypocritical to me, since again your posting on something derived by the govt. but it seems they only protest what they don't agree with........

debt doesnt have to be repaid. the children didnt sign off on the debt that is supposed to be their burden. nothing wrong with them renegotiating the terms.

Unfortunately the powers to be could care less about debt. Just look at the gas tax, the gas tax money that we are paying daily is only going to debt payments. Just think about that millions coming in daily gets paid to debt only.

eventually, even the interest on the debt will be too expensive. once it does, someone will make default a campaign issue. the only problem with default is that it makes any additional debt more expensive. so you have no choice but to drastically reduce the debt. default is the way to go.
