Hi,
I need to travel from Maywood NJ to Exchange Place Jersey city.

My plan is as below
1) Drive to essex street (hackensack)
2) Get NJ transit train to Hoboken (156$ / Month)
3) Get the Light rail to Exchange place. (64$ / Month)

One of my friend told that I can use the same monthly pass (Hackensack to Hoboken) in the light rail also.
I don't need to take seperate monthly pass for light rail.

Is this is correct?
Can some one please confirm if you are using NJ train ticket for light rail also.

Thanks
Joseph

You're good with your monthly regional rail pass. I believe the same goes for 2 zone intrastate monthly bus passes.

You are good, the rule is:
Monthly Passes: If you have a monthly rail pass valued at $54 or more you can use it on any NJ TRANSIT light rail line or buses up to the number of zones indicated on the pass

FYI, Zones apply only to the bus

Just so you know, the pass would also work if you decided to take the bus to Essex Street instead of driving.
